Rhodes Joinery & Building Services acquired another dis-used property in Elland and in 2020 Roots Whole Foods was born.  Looking to invest in the community of Elland, a gap was identified for an independent shop selling fruit, vegetables and other specialist foodstuffs.

Despite the 2020 Covid crisis Rhodes Joinery & Building Services gutted the interior and built display equipment from scratch while adhering to covid guidelines.  The hope is that by investing in the town then other businesses will be encouraged themselves to invest and the town will regain some of the vibrancy it lost.
